In winter there is not only skiing, Valsesia can attract an increasingly varied audience with sporting events of all kinds, some become a regular event. The “Ciaspolissima” is back on Sunday 11 February in Carcoforo, a competitive race and non-competitive walking with snowshoes on a 5-kilometer trail with a difference in height of 200 meters. The program includes the withdrawal of the bibs and distribution of snowshoes from 8 to Carcoforo al Trasinera Sporting, while the start will be at 10.30.

Three categories at the start: Junior from 15 to 20 years, Senior for under 40s and Masters for over 40s. The first three of each men’s and women’s category will be rewarded with vouchers from 100 to 75 euros, with prize prizes among the members and a recognition to the largest group. Registration costs 12 euros, the fee includes race package, refreshment, assistance on the route. You can rent snowshoes for 6 euros, by reservation also by 10 February. Night Race Alagna Valsesia – Memorial Emilio Detomasi. Appointment Saturday, February 24 starting in line at 17.30: ski race with competitive classic technique or non-competitive backcountry. The registrations will be held at the Minera brewery Z’Am Steg in Riva Valdobbia from 2.30 to 4.30 pm. The course of the competitive race includes 1,300 meters of difference in height starting from Piazza Regina Margherita, arrival in Bocchetta delle Pisse with sections in off-piste walking and skiing in the backpack, downhill for 500 meters.
