Among the peaks of the High Tauern, wellness tourism has a history that goes back to the sixteenth century, thanks to the beneficial thermal waters. But today people also come to Austria to ski and do winter sports. In the Gastein valley there are four ski areas, with 205 kilometers of slopes for all levels of ability, from off-piste to moguls, from black to easy for families.
