The town of Santa Eularia des Riu, or Santa Eulàlia del Rio, is the ideal location for families with children. It is located along the southern side of the island, about 15/16 km northeast of Ibiza. Santa Eularia is very touristy, with residences, hotels and restaurants, shops for shopping and a wide white sandy beach, overlooking a bay of crystal clear water and blue, shallow water, easily accessible on foot from the surrounding hotels and residences . Santa Eulària is the perfect holiday destination for families with children: it offers many services and is quiet. The mundanity of the city of Ibiza is far from here.
Es Canar beach, Ibiza
A few kilometers north of the town of Santa Eulària, we find the pretty cove of Es Canar, with a sandy beach shaded by pine trees and a shallow sea bed, with turquoise-colored water. The beach is well served: it has bathing establishments, bars and restaurants on the sea, residences, hotels, campsites and shops within walking distance. There is also a large hotel with a swimming pool and a marina for small pleasure boats and a landing point for ferries. Es Canar is very popular with family tourism from all over Europe. Also worth seeing is the hippie market, one of the most characteristic of the island.
Cala Llonga, Ibiza
Cala Llonga is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza, for everyone, even for families with children. It is located south of Santa Eulària des Riu and is a bay overlooking an inlet, hence the name of Cala Llonga, sandwiched between two steep rocky ridges. Here there is a wide sandy coastline, with free stretches and bathing establishments, residences and hotels, even luxury, possibility to practice water sports. The beach is served by bars and restaurants, shaded by pines from time to time. Cala Llonga offers a spectacular landscape. A very quiet area, perfect for relaxation.
On the north-eastern coast of Ibiza one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, ideal for families with children, is the beautiful Cala de Sant Vicent, in the municipality of Sant Vicent de sa Cala.A beautiful beach, with a wide soft shore white sand, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and overlooking an intense turquoise sea. The beach is located in a protected bay, facing south, and looks to the island of Tagomago, whose light illuminates the night horizon. Cala de Sant Vicent while rising in a secluded and quite wild area offers services that make it suitable for families with children: bathing establishments, bars, several restaurants, hotels that overlook the beach. Also to be explored with excursions is the immediate mountainous hinterland covered with woods, where the charming Punic Sanctuary of Es Culleram is hidden.
