There are altogether 12 openings for Open Villas 2017, most in the territory of Brianza Monzese, starting from the capital city of Monza, where thanks to the local delegation of the Fai you can visit the San Gerardino complex. In Briosco two other private sites can be visited, the Peregallo Mills and the Riva Art Furnace: both offer workshops guided tours, suitable also for families with children. In Brugherio you can visit Villa Sormani, a fine example of Lombard baroque. The church of Sant’Eugenio, dating back to the 8th century, is open to Concorezzo. Lentate sul Seveso organizes visits to the Oratory of Sant’Alessandro in the hamlet of Copreno. Even in Brianza monzese, for the first time you can visit Villa Dho in Seveso, while in Sovico are held guided tours to the Old Church with the collaboration of the parish committee. A new site can be visited also in Vimercate, in whose territory Ville Aperte was born in 2003: on Sunday 24 September, guided tours of the Villa Santa Maria Molgora Park are planned.

Another novelty is the visit of the area of ​​Ex Cral Antonini Corberi within the provincial property of the Architectural Complex adjacent to Villa Pusterla at the Mombello di Limbiate. This is a space that tells the latest story of a site from the alternate events, with an outside visit to the premises where the employees of the former psychiatric hospital carried out recreational activities along with their families.

Some new entries also in the territory of Lecco, with the opening in Montevecchia of the Oratory of St. Bernard, Cremella of Villa del Bono, Oggiono of the Cascina Ghisolfa, Olgiate Molgora of Villa Maria di Mondonico, in Brianza comasca also adheres Cabiate with Villa Padulli.

Always rich is the offer of the City of Monza, where you can visit the Treasury Museum of the Duomo of Monza (with reduced rate by presenting the ticket for Open Villas in Brianza), the Civic Museums, the Royal Saletta. Thanks to the activity of the Guidarte association you can visit the Rai Way headquarters in Monza Park, the Espiatoria Chapel, Villa Torneamento. The volunteers of the Delegation of Monza del Fai, besides being engaged in the new opening of the Complex of San Gerardino, also this year accompany the visitors to know the Quadreria of the San Gerardo Hospital Company.

A special discourse deserves the Villa Reale of Monza, where you can visit the entire Piermarini complex with a low-cost cumulative ticket, enriched by a visit to the Sony World Awards photographic exhibition set up in Private Apartments and free access to the Triennale Design Museum set up at the Belvedere floor.

The Triennial Museum at the Belvedere della Reggia is also home to a special meeting dedicated to design with Gillo Dorfles, one of the protagonists of history in the twentieth century. During the event, a few pieces of the video The War of Time, dedicated to Dorfles himself and his extraordinary artistic experience by director Francesco Leprino, are projected and commented on.
