Dean and Dan Caten have celebrated with a cocktail in store opening of the new boutique in Rome located in Via del Babuino. Following this, guests of the fashion and film world took part in the dinner party held in the picturesque Baja on the Tiber River
With their style that gives a nod to the world of music, but that does not forget the details and the details of a tailored garment Dean and Dan Caten, founders, designers and owners of the Dsquared2 brand. They have come a long way. Born in Ontario, but of Italian origin, the twin brothers whose real name is Catenacci, – the grandfather was of Frosinone – have landed in Italy in the early nineties, after studying at Parson’s School of Design in New York, but it is only in 1994, after numerous collaborations with leading fashion houses, leading to the catwalk their first fashion show event for humans. Season after season their shows attract the attention of the press for the perfect combination of style, music and entertainment, as well as their collection halfway between transgression and the manic pursuit of tailoring detail, that much like the world of music. Madonna in the first place, that “Do not tell me” and the next “Drowned World Tour 2001” would have it, the Caten would create for her and for all the ballet over 150 outfits.
Long list of pop stars who dress Dsquared2: Lenny Kravitz, Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, Nelly Furtado, Simon Webbe, Robbie Williams, Rihanna, Fergie, Britney Spears and many many more.
The opportunity to see them in Rome, the other night, was the opening of the 40th store in the world and the brand’s first flagship store in the capital: 398 square meters in Via del Babuino on one floor, where are located all Dsquared2 collections: man, woman, eyewear, underwear, accessories, fragrances. A good reason therefore for festaggiare with a cocktail and dinner party store exclusive to the presence of many guests and friends including Alan Cappelli, Greta Scarano, Serena Autieri, Valeria Bilello, Milena Mancini, Katy Saunders, Francesca Chillemi, Valentina Corti, Yvonne Shoo, Vittoria Belvedere, Vinicio Marchioni and many many more.
