Where to go to the beach, take the aperitif, take a walk and sleep: here’s all you need to know for a perfect vacation in Rhodes

It tells the story that Apollo, the Sun God, has chosen her as a home, and that is why 300 days of good weather in Rhodes are held in Rhodes.

Not far from Pollon and other gods, however, the truth is that Rhodos is an island that is worth visiting for so many reasons, of which the climate (almost) always sunny and the temperatures (almost) always mild during all seasons I’m just a small (though significant) part.

Rhodes is a magic island where you can dive into the ancient history of ancient Greece and walk through the walls of its medieval town (UNESCO Heritage Site), but also change the beach and panorama every morning, choosing a day to snorkel in a cove of deserted sand and the next day to devote himself to kitesurfing and the most frequented lids.

Between romantic coves to watch the sunset with a beer in hand and handicraft shops where to give free shopping, here’s all there is to know about Rhodes.

The west coast, overlooking the Aegean (most moved), is characterized by rocky, rocky and rocky walls and pebble beaches, while the eastern (Mediterranean) is ideal for those who love the sandy beaches that blend into the sea with a long wetgish.

In addition to this there are plenty of creeks and each beach is different from one another, so it’s worth renting a car (the island is too big to be scooter) and exploring the territory to find out the various aspects.

Keep in mind that the air temperature is mild for almost 12 months a year, however the sea remains cool even in the summer.

In general, the most beautiful beaches are located on the north-east side of the island, between the city of Rhodes and Lindos.

The most famous beach of Rhodes is known as Antony Quinn Bay (but called Faliraki), an inlet between the rocks with crystal clear water and incredible colors (the beach is rocky but equipped, and with 10 euros you take two sun loungers and one Beach umbrella).

Prassonissi is a sandy isthmus frequented by sports enthusiasts by sailing, because it is extremely airy (and therefore it is here that all surf lovers, windsurfers and kites are here), but it is an incredibly beautiful beach that is worth a visit also seen by those who do not intend to get up from the towel.

Special mention, then, for the beach of Rhodes, which has nothing remarkable in itself but lies at the point where the two seas (Aegean and Mediterranean) join and with certain light conditions from here you can see a line that divides them.

Lindos is undoubtedly the most beautiful thing you will see in Rhodes. It is a fascinating and breathtaking country where you can breathe that summer air and vacation that only the lime painting of the Greek alleys can convey with such simplicity and immediacy to the brain.

Surrounded by a cliff and wrapped between a North Bay and a South Beach, the White House is located on the east coast of the island and is ideal for a stroll at any time of the day.

Park in the square at the entrance of the village and enter the pedestrian center: dozens of streets full of beautiful craft shops and localies where you can stroll as you climb the castle castle where the Acropolis rises.

On the road, uphill or downhill, stop for a refreshing break in one of the many bars, clubs and restaurants with the roof terrace, where to sit at a coffee table under the shade of plants.

Do not miss a visit to the Church of Panagia, a small church in the middle of the country entirely covered with frescoes.

It could be said that all the streets of Lindos lead to the Acropolis, but the truth is that it is only if the bivouac always chooses the road that goes uphill.

In the middle of the village, in fact, part of a path that rises to the fortified castle fortress of the Knights, where the Acropolis and the Doric Temple of Athena Lindia arise, dating back to 300 BC.

You can decide to climb a donkey’s back (there is a store in the country impossible to notice), or walk a 300-step path – more than you can without great effort, unless you want to try l ‘It feels like riding a donkey.

Once on, you will have the feeling of dominating the world, with a breathtaking 360 ° panorama.
